Legend has it that after painting the sky, God washed his brushes in this river, as its color is as bright and beautiful as the sky itself.
Located within Tenorio Volcano National Park, Río Celeste (“light blue river”) is not only stunning, it offers a unique experience you won’t get anywhere else in the world. The river’s electric blue hue results from a geological and geomorphological phenomenon. Your expert guide will explain the science behind this natural marvel.
